A great place to come if you are shopping for a special gift for someone you really want to spoil. I got a painting here for my sister, and she says it is one of the most beautiful things she's ever been given. I love that I was able to support a local artist too! There is so much talent in this area.

We wanted some local art for our living to serve as a centerpiece for the room. We found an amazing piece here that fits perfectly with our color scheme and our theme. Great way to celebrate our move to Long Island and congratulate ourselves for taking this step. We had a lot of fun shopping; the gallery owners were really informative and we are very happy with our purchase.

A very lovely shop with some beautiful things. The paintings especially are wonderful!

I came in here just for a look around, and ended up spending quite a bit of time looking at all the paintings. I can't believe the value of some of the pieces they have! It was like walking through an actual art gallery, which I guess it is in some sense. I hope someday I can come back here

I LOVE this little gem of an antique store that has been in business since 1970s. If you are interested in unique pieces and love to explore special shops, check it out.

I have had nothing but the best experiences and most helpful information from this Gallery.  I have been a reccurring customer for many years and will continue to do so.  They have always been extremely informative and fair whether buying or selling.  I would highly recommend and enjoy visiting them whenever I am in NY.
Dianna R.  Asheville, NC,  5.0 star rating (Yelp 10/2/2013)

Steve is one of the most knowledgable antique dealers I know --- honest prices and unique items. Have been a happy customer for years.

Visited Stam Antiques this week and was quite taken with a beautiful collection of what Steve Stam defined as Andrew Szoeke furniture that spanned several decades.  The Tiffany bowls are also something, including a brilliant opalescent pink bowl that glowed in showcase light. And their collection of pop-art, up close and personal, is not to be missed. I'm not an antiques expert, but the pieces I saw were obviously exquisitely made and I quite enjoyed my visit!

Maida J., Fort Lee, NJ, 5.0 star rating (Yelp 9/29/2013)
Bought and sold many items from Stam Antiques (formerly called Giles Antiques).   I found Steve to be reputable, honest and knowledgable.  He has appraised both valuable and "fake" items for me and always knew the difference.  I am surprised to see a negative comment here < by Stacy on Yelp>  ... Doesn't it seem as though that customer <Stacy E>  has a personal vendetta against Steve ... Why refer to someone as an old man?  I never felt scammed and I know a little about antiques!!  I suggest you visit the store and see the lovely items for sale!  You will be pleased!

Thank you all for your kind comments. Steven
